Inpatient / Outpatient Therapy Services
Morningside Care Center offers each resident a personal program of rehabilitation, enabling them to achieve their highest possible level of function, comfort within their capability.
Just as every resident's needs differ, so does their capability.
For some individuals, this may be to achieve the freedom to move freely within their environment or the opportunity of a short stay.
Programs offered to residents are designed and supervised by a licensed therapist.
Morningside Care Center provides the following therapies:
| Physical Therapy: |
- Promotes the health and function of the individual through examination, treatment, instruction and activities designed to prevent, correct or compensate for physical disability and to ease the pain resulting from injury or diseases.
We encourage individuals to remain physically fit through exercising, walking, bending, lifting and transferring. Our program goal is to restore the patient to his or her highest possible level of function.

| Occupational Therapy: |
- Program takes a goal-oriented approach, with the aim of helping the individual adapt and reach their maximum level of independence.
This is accomplished through re-educating and training in daily living skills, such as dressing, bathing, eating, grooming and hygiene.
The occupational therapist will adjust those tasks for each individual to maximize his or her level of independence.

| Speech Therapy: |
- Teach routines needed to recover the ability to eat, speak, and swallow, and train both the resident and their families in compensatory techniques.

| Outpatient Services: |
- The outpatient rehabilitation program at Morningside Care Center provides residents of Alcester and surrounding communities with an exceptional facility and staffed by dynamic professionals.

Each resident, upon admission, receives a comprehensive evaluation by therapists to determine individual goals of rehabilitation.
Treatment is tailored to optimally meet the resident's needs. Morningside Care Center therapists design treatments to help increase self-esteem, independence and motivation for the individual.
Mutually agreed upon programs and goals are developed.
The frequency of rehabilitation treatment is based on the ability of the resident.
Some participate in several hours of therapy each day.
Others may be capable of only a few minutes a day and may need to achieve their goals in smaller increments.
Each program is based on a sensitivity to the emotional, motivational and social needs of the resident.
